The GKC is pleased to announce that we now have a fully accredited examiner for the KC Good Citizen Dog Scheme - Carolyn Le Poidevin. For those not familiar with the GCDS, it is not based on obedience, but was set up by the Kennel Club to promote responsible dog ownership, to enhance our relationship with our dogs and to make the community aware of the benefits associated with dog ownership. The scheme is graded in three levels: bronze, silver and gold, and in co-operation with the Island Dog Training Club the GKC can now offer the training sessions to prepare you and your dog to undertake the test.
