Art Le Page, Vice President Profile compiled: September 2006 |
Family life: Married to Diane for 41 years. Two sons, Mark and Warren, two daughters, Joanne and
Andrea, plus seven grandchildren. Committee CV: Club member for about 25 years. Began helping to set up the rings and helping the collecting ring steward. What do you enjoy most about the Club? It is now a very friendly and well run club, a tribute to the committee and exhibitors. Dogs currently at home: Until very recently we had four, but unfortunately we had to put our Harry, aged 13, to sleep. We now have Sylvie, 12, Chrystal 4, and Tilly, 3. Chrystal has just had a litter, and the pups are due to go to their new homes very shortly. |

Other breeds you might consider: I really would not like to change to any other breed because I love Cockers, but
if I had to then perhaps a Staffordshire Bull Terrier—I think they are just a
loveable little dog. Beginning of show career: 1980s—bought a Cocker (Brutus) from Phil and the late Elaine Le Sauvage, who encouraged us to show him. Highlight of show career: Winning our first BOB with Brutus and later BOB and Gundog Group in Jersey with our first Bridgevalle affix Cocker, Ben, who was a beautiful orange roan. Any judging experience? Only at matches, but I have had offers to judge at two English show which I declined. Other interests: Football, boxing, swimming when I can, and watching my grandchildren, Chloe, Cody and Ellie performing with the Karen Dempsey Dancing School. Other comments: Enjoy what you're doing and remember - whatever the results at shows there is always another day. |
